How to Make Pretzel Jell-O Salad

For one of the best desserts around, try your hand at some strawberry pretzel Jell-O salad. This unique combination of sweet and salty flavors will be a hit not only with your taste buds, but with anyone else who tries it.

Things You'll Need

  • 2 cups of crushed pretzel sticks
  • 3/4 cup of melted butter
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 8 oz. Cool Whip
  • 1 6 oz. pkg. Strawberry Jell-O
  • 2 cups of boiling water
  • 2 10 oz. pkgs. frozen strawberries, partially thawed
  • 9-by-13 inch pan
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  • Mix the crushed pretzels with the melted butter and sugar.

  • Press into the bottom of the pan.

  • Bake at 350 degrees for a metal pan, or 325 degrees for a glass pan, for eight minutes.

  • Take out and let cool completely.

  • Beat the cup of sugar into the cream cheese.

  • Fold the cool whip in.

  • Take the whole mixture and spread over the pretzels. Set aside.

  • Mix the Jell-O into the boiling water and mix until dissolved. Add the frozen strawberries and stir gently.

  • Set that mixture aside for 10 to 15 minutes.

  • Pour over the Jell-O/cheese mixture.

  • Chill until firm.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure your pretzel Jell-O salad sets firmly before cutting it.
  • You can use any brand of gelatin.
