Ever find a great picture on a web page that you wanted to save to a folder on your computer but found it blocked from right clicking? Follow the steps below to circumvent that annoying little problem.
Once you have found a blocked picture you want to save, make sure that it is centered squarely in your computer screen and hit your PRT SC (Print Screen) button (usually above or near your Function keys.)
Step2
Open your PAINT program by clicking on START, ACCESSORIES and click on PAINT.
Step3
Once the PAINT program is open click your CTRL & V keys at the same time to drop the photo into the PAINT program.
Step4
Click on your FILE button on the top left of the screen and go to SAVE AS, and click on it.
Step5
Save your file to MY PICTURES or wherever you wish to save it.
Step6
Now go to that file and open the picture you just saved into any photo program and crop out any unwanted portions of the photo that got saved when you clicked on PRT SC (print screen).
Step7
Save your now un-blocked photo under whatever name you would like and to whatever file you would like. It is now ready to view anytime you wish without having to go back to the web site you found it on.
Tips & Warnings
Takes only a few second of time to save a blocked photo. I find that leaving the original web site page open in the background (in case there is more than one photo to save) can save you time.
Ebay users are famous for using picture blocking software even when they don't own the rights to the original (or screen captured) photos that they are selling pre-prints or reprints of. This happens especially with actor and movie photos.
This article is in no way condoning the practice of copyright infringement. It is simply a way to have a personal viewing of a photo you love, perhaps of your favorite actor on your computer whenever you wish to view it.
