How to Bleach Teeth at Home for Free

Inside your kitchen or bathroom cabinet you can probably find two excellent tools for cleaning and bleaching your teeth: hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. Either of these will do the trick, but together, they will work even better.

Things You'll Need

  • Hydrogen Peroxide
  • Baking Soda
  • Small Cups
  • Toothbrush

Find some baking soda and hydrogen peroxide.

Put a bit of baking soda into a small cup or tray. This stops you from having to dip your toothbrush in the box, potentially spreading germs.

Rinse your toothbrush off thoroughly and shake off as much water as possible.

Brush with baking soda for at least 45 seconds.

Clean the toothbrush again to remove any excess baking soda.

Pour a small cup of hydrogen peroxide.

Rinse with the peroxide for 30 seconds and spit.

Repeat the above steps twice a day.

Tips & Warnings

  • Stay away from smoking, coffee, beets, and other things that stain your teeth.
  • Be sure to use drug store hydrogen peroxide with a strength of about 3 percent. Stronger hydrogen peroxide can be dangerous to rinse with.
  • If it sits for too long, hydrogen peroxide can lose strength. If your bottle is really old, consider buying a new one.
