Step 1
Know that color can affect our overall health. For seasonal affective disorder (SAD) or winter depression, doctors recommend light therapy as treatment (see Resources). The body has energy fields (auras) and chakra points and you can use different colors to clear or rebalance these energy fields. Many ailments can also be treated with color therapy.
-
Step 2
Use the color red to increase energy levels, self-esteem or confidence. Alternative healers use red to treat sexual problems and anemia. Wear some red clothing if you are in sales or just want to re-energize yourself. This color corresponds to the root chakra (see Resources).
-
Step 3
Heal emotional upsets or increase your creativity with the color orange. According to healers, this color can heal shock. Try using this color when you need a creative boost.
-
Step 4
Wear a yellow tee shirt for attentiveness and mental agility if you are a student. Yellow is good for memory, concentration, optimism and can heal digestive ailments.
-
Step 5
Calm, soothe and balance the nervous system with the color green. This color is also good for abundance, new beginnings and heart problems. It corresponds to the heart chakra.
-
Step 6
Communicate more authoritatively and effectively with the color blue. Wear a blue suit if you have to give a speech or presentation. It is also a calming color that healers use to treat respiratory problems, high blood pressure and throat infections.
-
Step 7
Connect with the unconscious self, truth, inspiration and transform your spiritual life with the colors indigo and violet. Indigo and violet correspond to the two upper chakras (brow and crown). Healers treat immunity problems and mental disorders with these colors. You can also use color therapy with clothing by wearing the colors pink, brown, white and black (see Resources).

on 1/7/2009 I've been seeing a lot about this lately. Recently I saw a company that even offers a line of women's bikini panties that have all of the chakra colors and are sold in a set to provide color therapy. I wonder if they really can make a difference?? They look really comfy and cute. Maybe worth a go. If you want to see them for yourself I found them at http://www.puttinonthebliss.com Interesting concept.
