Make sure you have Winetools. This code in Wine allows your AutoCAD software to "recognize" Internet Explorer. This is so that the software can go through the installation process.

Add the registry key Software\\Microsoft\\Internet Explorer\Version=6.0.2900.2180. This change is necessary to get the AutoCAD software to load on Wine. Change the version of SHDOCVW.DLL in the software. This is also necessary in order to load the software.

Load the AutoCAD software. For each individual version of AutoCAD and Wine you'll need to go through a debugging process. This process includes a hurdle and jumping process. Go through this process and load the software, but be aware that there is another hurdle and jumping process to get the software to run. Develop a work around for each step in the debugging process.

Try using AutoCAD 2000 and Wine version 0.9.45.which is reported on the Wine app's website as running fine aside from the text not working. Be aware that the rendering was not tested.
