Bat wings are cool features that can be used to make a character instantly evil. Bat wings are a fantasy convention that usually indicates that a character has a demonic status. Bat wings are also great for drawing dragons, since there is a great similarity between dragon wings and bat wings.

Instructions

Drawing a Folded and Open Bat Wing

  1. Step 1

    Draw a simple arm shape.

  2. Step 2

Draw a circular shape to represent the palm.

  3. Step 3

Draw three long lines to represent the fingers.

  4. Step 4

Connect each segment with U-shaped lines.

  5. Step 5

Redraw your lines so that the wings look more tattered. Draw over the wings you've already drawn and then erase the old lines.

  6. Step 6

Draw the folded arm in the same way as step 1, but overlap part of the folded wing base.

  7. Step 7

Connect the joints with u-shaped lines.

  8. Step 8

Slim the wing out, add tatters and wrinkles to make the wing seem old and Gothic.
