    Simple Circle
    Simple Circle

    Draw a simple circle.

  2. Step 2

Draw dark lines that curve around the circle. These lines are darker farther away from the light source and lighter closer to the light source. In the example, lines are drawn father apart as they get closer to the light source, as well.

  3. Step 3

Smudge the lines with your finger to make the lines blend together. This creates a finished-looking three-dimensional circle.

  4. Step 4

Use an eraser to create lighter shading if you have gotten it a little too dark.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't forget where your light source is!
