How to Blow Up a Beach Ball

With warmer weather approaching, it's time to take out the beach and pool toys and put them to work. A popular favorite, the beach ball is a staple among summer toys and all you need to do is be able to blow it up.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the deflated beach ball so it is out flat.

    • 2

Grasp the air hole of the beach ball between your thumbs and your pointer and middle fingers. Your thumbs should be under the air hole and your pointer and middle fingers should be on top of it in a pinching formation.

    • 3

Take a deep breath and blow your air into the air hole of the beach ball. Do this two or three times until it's time for you to take a break. You don't want to get lightheaded.

    • 4

When you take a break, pinch your thumbs, pointer and middle fingers around the air hole to keep the air in the ball.

    • 5

Repeat Steps 3 and 4 until the beach ball is completely inflated.

    • 6

When you are satisfied that the beach ball is completely inflated, take the cap that is attached to the air hole of the beach ball and quickly put it on the air hole.

    • 7

The air hole usually consists of a very tiny plastic tube about an inch long. Use light pressure to push this small little air hole into the ball so it won't stick out when you're using it.

    • 8

Now it's time to enjoy the beach ball. Add more air if it seems to get a little flat after a few hours.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don't risk getting lightheaded by continuing to inflate the ball without taking breaks in between breaths. A beach ball is no good to use if you're passed out.
