Things You'll Need:
- Remington Wet2Straight iron
- Hair clip
- Brush
-
Step 1
Choose a setting to begin with. The Remington’s Wet2Straight flat iron comes with various settings. However for someone with thick curly frizzy hair you only need to be concerned with three of them. Number 12 for dry hair, number 20 for damp hair and number 30 for wet hair. So choose the setting depending on the moisture level in your hair.
-
Step 2
Comb a small section of your hair about one inch in diameter. Start with the top nearest to the scalp. Clamp the hair tightly and slowly pull the iron down the hair shaft. Repeat to desired smoothness.
-
Step 3
Clip the finished section of your hair to the other side of your head and continue to take another section of hair. Again comb this section, clamp the hair tightly with the hair iron and slowly pull the it down the hair shaft.
-
Step 4
Clip this small section of your thick hair to the other hair that you previously straightened. Repeat this procedure until all hair is straightened.
-
Step 5
Brush your hair thoroughly as you smooth over your hair with your hand. This may seem tedious but people who have thick curly hair tend to not have to wash their hair everyday so you may only need to do this once or twice a week.

on 7/9/2009 Great tips for straightening thick, curly hair. I am working up the nerve to try to straighten my own hair (once the weather cools down). Thanks! 5*
