Make a Tool Photo Frame
-
1
Gather all your materials. Plain wooden photo frames can be found at craft stores.. You want a frame that is thick enough to place tools on. Purchase cheap tools from a dollar store. You won't want to use dad's good, expensive tools for this. He might not be so happy about it.
-
2
Paint your photo frame in your choice of colors with acrylic paints. A good solid color that will contrast well or complement the tools is best.

-
3
Let the paint dry.

Arrange your tools around the photo frame. See what combination you like best. A hammer would go well up and down along the 10 inch side while a wrench might look good across the bottom. A long screwdriver across the other 10 inch side and maybe a pair of pliers at the top. Place them how you think they look best. They can overlap the photo area of the frame a little but the excess should go on the outside of the frame not the inside, you don't want to cover the photo with tools.

Hot glue the tools to the frame. Make sure you have them arranged how you like them and carefully pick a tool up and coat just the area of the tool that will touch the frame with hot glue. Repeat this with each tool until you have them all glued securely to the frame.

Add your photo. and you are done. You have a custom made tool photo frame that dad is sure to love.
