How to Make a 3 Wise Men Shot

The Biblical 3 Wise Men have absolutely nothing to do with this cocktail

The 3 Wise Men shot is a frequently-ordered one, although many bar patrons would contend that anyone who orders a 3 Wise Men shot is a glutton for punishment. The drink features the 3 J's: Johnnie, Jack, and Jim and it is extremely intoxicating. It is also a relatively simple shot to create.

Things You'll Need

• Shot glass
• 1/2 oz. Johnnie Walker
• 1/2 oz. Jack Daniels
• 1/2 oz. Jim Beam

Instructions

1. Put the shot glass on a solid, stable platform.

2. Pour the shotglass 1/3 of the way full of Johnnie Walker.

3. Pour Jim Beam in until the shot glass becomes 2/3 of the way full.

4. Pour in Jack Daniels until the shot glass fills completely.

5. Serve immediately.

6. Consume the beverage in one rapid gulping motion.

Tips & Warnings

• * If the shot seems a bit harsh, try chilling the ingredients briefly over ice next time for a smoother finish.

• * Use standard, cheap versions of the ingredients listed above. There's no point in using Johnnie Walker Blue Label, or any other expensive liquors in this shot format.

• * Do not sip a 3 Wise Men. It is intended as a "shot," which means it is supposed to be consumed in one fluid motion.
