1
Determine what you need to change about yourself. This can be anything from your bad habits, weight issues, attitudes, or anything else you want to change about yourself.
-
2
Make a commitment to yourself. Stick with your plans. Don't allow yourself to be sidetracked. Once you realize you want change, make a promise to yourself that you will see through to it.

3
Write down the reason you feel the way you do about yourself. This can be hard, but describe what it is that you don't like and want to change. Be as detailed as possible. Try to figure out why you're like that. It will be easier to change if you know the root of it.
-
4
Tell yourself that you are going to do something to change the way you feel about yourself. You need to make sure that you're fully into making these changes to your life. Simply telling yourself that something is wrong isn't going to change it. You have to want that change to happen.
-
5
Set reasonable goals. It's great that you decided to make a change, but don't be unreasonable. By setting reasonable goals for yourself, you will see that you are changing. Start out with something small and work your way up to that ultimate goal.
-
6
Have a support group that is there for you. Surround yourself with people you trust and know will be there to help you. This will make the process a lot easier by having others who you can discuss your problems with.

Tips & Warnings
If your problem is serious and you believe that you need further assistance, try a counselor or a support group with others that are going through the same thing.
This can be challenging. It will take time and honesty. You will have your ups and downs, but don't take your frustration out on other people.
