How to play Flunky Ball
Getting sick of spending your Friday nights playing beer pong? Can't take another round of rhyming playing "Kings"? Are you looking for a drinking game that combines action, strategy and fantastic chugging abilities? Then Flunky Ball -- the drinking game of choice at German music festivals -- is just the game for you.
Things You'll Need
- An outdoor playing field about 10 yards long; width varies based on number of players.
- Ten players (or another even number - at least 8 total).
- Ten beers (or as many beers as there are players).
- Five "pins" - these can be empty bottles of beer, bowling pins...basically anything that stands up straight and can get knocked over. (There should be half as many "pins" as there are players.)
- One soccer ball-sized ball (or empty mini-keg, as the case may be).
Instructions

Let's Play!
-
1
Divide into even teams.
-
2
Form two straight lines facing each other, standing about 10 yards apart. There should be about four feet of space between the players in each line. Each player should place his beer within easy grabbing reach.
-
- 3
-
4
The player furthest to the right in the Team 1 line throws the ball at the "pins."
-
5
If no "pins" fall over, the ball goes to Team 2.
-
6
If Team 1's throw knocks over one or more "pins," all players on Team 1 start chugging their beers. While Team 1 chugs, the players on Team 2 must set the "pins" upright, grab the ball, and get back in line as fast as possible.
-
7
Team 1 must stop chugging AS SOON AS the pins are upright and Team 2 is back in formation with the ball in hand.
-
8
Repeat steps 4-7 with Team 2 throwing.
-
9
As players finish their beers, they must call out to signal the empty bottle or can and hold the bottle or can upside down to prove there's no beer left. If the beer is finished, the player must leave the line.
-
10
The team whose players finish their beers first is the winner.
