How to Score With a Corner Kick in Soccer
Corner kicks are one of the most challenging parts to the game of soccer. You can't just have any player taking the corner kicks, and you have to have some strategy or the kick will go to waste. Corner kicks occur when the defense kicks the ball out of bounds on the base line.

1
SERVER: You first need someone who can serve the ball. This person is probably your best passer, or someone with great accuracy. He is the player who has to take the corner kick. If someone else who is a bad passer or has streaky accuracy kicks it, you will waste the opportunity.

MOVEMENT: The tallest players on your team must get in position inside the box, near the goalie. Get these players to constantly make cuts toward the net, even before the ball is kicked. They make set runs toward the goal while your best headers stay in the middle.

DISRUPTION: Have someone on the goalie to disrupt him. This is typically the job of a shorter player. The player stands near the goalie without touching him, but obstructs him so that the goalie cannot easily get to the ball. It's a fairly cheap tactic but widely used. Again, it is important that this player DOES NOT touch the goalie, because that will be a foul and you will lose the ball.

OPTIONS: Have an option for a short corner. That is, leave someone near the kicker in case a long pass just isn't there. If you must pass to them, it will throw off the defense because they will be focused on defending near the goal. It can give you a good opportunity for a shot on goal or another cross toward the goal.
