Fungi are living organisms that are incapable of producing their own food. They survive by absorbing nutrients from areas they occupy. When they invade human bodies, especially those with low immune system, they may become harmful. Once inhaled, these fungi dwell on nasal passages and sinus cavities, where they multiply and feed on its membranous linings. Small holes around the membrane are formed as they feed, trapping the mucous and preventing it from draining.To prevent fungal sinus infections, apply the following safety measures:

  1. Step 1

    Exercise proper hygiene to keep a healthy environment.

  2. Step 2

    Add plenty of vegetables and fruits in your diet. These contain antioxidants that will protect your body against infection.

    Take vitamins everyday to boost your immune system.

  4. Step 4

    Drink plenty of water and fruit juices that are rich in Vitamin C.

  5. Step 5

    Avoid alcoholic beverages. It may contain fungal toxins (mycotoxins) that will make you vulnerable to fungal infections.
