Fungi are living organisms that are incapable of producing their own food. They survive by absorbing nutrients from areas they occupy. When they invade human bodies, especially those with low immune system, they may become harmful. Once inhaled, these fungi dwell on nasal passages and sinus cavities, where they multiply and feed on its membranous linings.   1. Step 1

    Exercise proper hygiene to keep a healthy environment.

    Add plenty of vegetables and fruits in your diet. These contain antioxidants that will protect your body against infection.

    Take vitamins everyday to boost your immune system.

  4. Step 4

    Drink plenty of water and fruit juices that are rich in Vitamin C.

  5. Step 5

    Avoid alcoholic beverages. It may contain fungal toxins (mycotoxins) that will make you vulnerable to fungal infections.

    Place electrostatic filters on heaters and air conditioning units. This helps in cleaning the air you breathe by removing airborne fungal allergens.
