Texas Holdem is rapidly becoming a household game due to the popularity of poker tournaments on television and everyday Joes becoming poker champions. Since everyone seems to be playing at home with friends, you should know how to deal so that when it's your turn you'll look like a pro.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Deck of cards
  1. Step 1

Deal everyone two cards each. Go around the table and make everyone declare a check or bet.

  2. Step 2

Discard the top card. This is called the "burn card." Set it aside face down. Whenever someone folds, put it on top of this card in what is now your discard pile.

  3. Step 3

Turn up three cards in the middle of the table. This is "the flop." Make sure everyone can see the cards.

  4. Step 4

Congratulations, you have just revealed the flop. Now the bet will go around the table beginning with the little blind, and they will decide whether they want to check or bet.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't turn over the flop until everyone is done checking or betting.
