Things You'll Need:
- Clay-based facial mask or non-gel toothpaste
- Gentle facial cleanser
- Water
-
Step 1
Don’t pick at, poke, burst or otherwise open pimples. Pimples are infectious wounds. Opening them in a less than sterile environment leaves the are vulnerable to further infection from germs and bacteria.
-
Step 2
Thoroughly but gently cleanse the face and area around the pimple so as to not further agitate the blemish. Do not use an exfoliating cleanser on the pimple or surrounding area. This will agitate, redden and possibly burst the pimple.
-
Step 3
Dab a bit of a clay-based mask directly on the pimple at night. This will draw out the impurities and dry out the excess oil without irritating the pimple further. Non-gel toothpaste also works well in place of the mask.
-
Step 4
Downing at least 8 to 10 glasses of water a day will help flush out the impurities that caused the pimple and more quickly cure the blemish.
