Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Buy a bread box at one of the online stores that sells them, such as nextag.com (see Resources below). You can also go to department stores or supercenters if you prefer to buy offline.

    • 2

Choose a bread box with a flat top. You can store other items on top of it so this saves on counter space.

    • 3

Select a bread box with a separate lid. These bread boxes have lids that snap into place making a very tight seal. When you have a one-piece bread box the lid may not close all the way allowing air to get at your bread causing quicker staleness.

    • 4

Purchase a bread box set including bread board and knife. Take your bread out of the bread box and carve it on the handy bread board. No more looking for the right knife since the board has a slot with the knife included.

    • 5

Pick an over sized bread box and store more than one loaf at a time. You can also store muffins, pastries or other items in one convenient place.

    • 6

Look for bread boxes without windows. Buy this kind of bread box, which keeps bread fresh longer, because it keeps out light and air that stale your bread faster.
