How to Crochet a Bunny

To crochet a bunny is a fun and relatively easy project. All it requires is beginner crochet skills, as well as some patience and perseverance. So find a comfortable chair in good light and let's get started.

Instructions

1. Work this crochet pattern in continuous rounds, which means you won't join or turn your rows. You'll need two skeins of crochet yarn, pink and white and a size J hook. Make the bunny's head by chaining two with pink yarn. Work six single crochets in the first chain and continue by adding two single crochets in each crochet around for five rows.

2. Continue the next six rows by single crocheting in each stitch around. You are almost finished with the bunny's body. Now you will begin single crochet decreases to taper the bottom part of the body.

3. Create the single crochet decrease by inserting your hook into the next stitch and drawing up a loop. Repeat. Now yarn over and draw through all three loops on your hook. You need to repeat the decrease followed by three single crochets all the way around. Your last row is a single crochet decrease followed by two single crochets all the way around.

4. Finish the body by repeating a row of decreases followed by a row of single crochets and fasten off. Stuff the body with fiberfill and it's ready. Crochet the bunny's arms and legs in white. Start by chaining two and working four single crochets into the first chain. Continue with single crochets around until you have 15 rows. Fasten off and you have your bunny legs.

5. Crochet the bunny's' arms by chaining 2two and working four single crochets into the first chain. Complete the arms by working 12 rows of single crochets around and then fasten off.

6. Form the bunny ears in pink by chaining three and working four single crochets into the first chain. For rows one through five work two single crochets into each stitch. Rows 6 through 11 are made by working a single crochet into each stitch around and then fastening off. Lastly, the bunny's' tail can be made by chaining two, with white, and working 6 single crochets into your first stitch; stuff the tail with fiberfill and your bunny is complete.
