Lemon is an astringent that detoxifies. If you've read the Master Cleanse by Stanley Burroughs, you know the power of lemon juice. Lemon can also help kill bacteria associated with acne. With a multitude of vitamins and natural citric content, add a squeeze for clean, refreshed skin.
Things You'll Need
- Knife to cut lemon
- Small bowl
- Cetaphil or other gentle cleanser
- Clean wash cloth
Cut lemon and squeeze 1/4 cup lemon juice into a small bowl. Be sure to wash the lemon (and your hands) before squeezing.
Cleanse skin with gentle cleanser such as Cetaphil. You can mix a few drops of lemon in with the cleanser.
Rinse skin thoroughly and pat dry with a clean towel. Mix the remaining lemon juice with luke warm water. Splash on face and neck.
Dampen a wash cloth with warm water and place it on your face. Lie down for 5 minutes. Allow the lemon juice and nutrients to soak in. This may sting a little.
Rinse face and spray with a moisturizing mist or toner, such as Evian spray.
