Things You'll Need:
- Snorkeling or scuba diving gear
-
Step 1
Looking at the color of the fish is the first step in identifying white margate fish. Each fish has a solid color although this can vary from being light grey to pearl white. The only additional color found on the fish is the tail fins as these appear dark grey.
-
Step 2
Examine the size and length of the fish in order to identify it. Most white margate fish have an average length of 10 to 20 inches, although it may be possible for you to find a few that are over 2 feet in length from end to end.
-
Step 3
Where the white margate fish is located is also something to consider when trying to identify them. These fish are often found in areas with a lot of sea grass or sand.
-
Step 4
Finding white margate fish to potentially identify may be rather difficult while snorkeling or scuba diving on vacation. These fish are not as common as other varieties and they generally travel alone. This makes it more difficult to spot, although you may occasionally find a few white margate fish together in one area.
