You need to set goals if you want to incorporate exercises into your daily life. However small or big your goals are, they have to be realistic, attainable, and specific.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper and pen
  • Time
  • Commitment
  • Follow up
  1. Step 1

I am a believer in "writing it down." On a piece of paper, write down what you want to exercise, when to exercise, and how long it should be. Having a schedule tends to remind you that you have a commitment to fulfill.

  2. Step 2

What are your goals? Define these goals will help you have a better understanding why you want to do them in the first place. Do you want to lose weight? How many pound a week/month? Do you just want to keep in shape and stay healthy? How many minutes a day can you squeeze in to achieve these goals?

  3. Step 3

Once the ideas are clear in your mind, you are more at ease to carry out your exercise choices. Think of it as a trip! You get in your car, you know where you are heading, and how long it takes to get there. After the first couple of days, these goals become your daily routines.

Tips & Warnings
  • Start out with shorter time frame
  • Post your schedule where you can see
  • Ask family to give you a nudge
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Talk to your doctor for appropriate exercise programs
