How to Deal with Your Boyfriend's Fantasy Baseball Addiction

Even those of you that enjoy baseball may find yourselves mystified when it comes to your boyfriend's fantasy baseball teams and the amount of time he seems to devote to them. Fantasy baseball can certainly veer towards obsession, but if you love him, there are definitely ways to deal with it.

• general knowledge of baseball
• patience

1. Make a list of all the things that you are extremely into and do almost obsessively, such as collecting comics, taking photographs, checking perezhilton.com and any other weird thing that you do. Take a long look at the list. This will may you feel more sympathetic to his obsession.
2. Instead of teasing him or getting annoyed with the amount of time he spends checking his fantasy baseball teams standings, make a deal with him: Every time he checks his standings when you are hanging out, he gives you a kiss. It's a win-win.
3. Ask him about his fantasy baseball team often. He will love to talk about it with you and it shows that you are taking it seriously.
4. Read up on some of the players on his team. If you can make a comment about one of his pitchers being on the DL, he will be so impressed his head might explode.
5. Get a couple of good books to have around. The baseball season is 6 long months and you might have to find some other ways to occupy yourself.
6. Remind him that the next time he questions something weird that you do, such as listen to bad music from the '80s, you will politely remind him how amazing you were during fantasy baseball season. He will have to agree and you have a free pass to be weird at least a few times.
