Nobody wants pests of any type in their pantry. However, pantry pests that can fly can be the most difficult to get rid of, since they can cover vast areas of your home and pantry. If you have pantry moths, chances are they came into your home in a dry food product. Here are some natural ways to get rid of pantry moths.

Things You'll Need:

  • Cleaning supplies
  • Air-tight containers
  • Herbs
  • Citrus peels
  1. Step 1

    Remove everything from your pantry shelves. Vacuum the shelves, wipe them down and dry them before placing your food back onto the shelves.

  2. Step 2

    Store dry products such as grains and flour in air-tight containers.

  3. Step 3

    Freeze bags of flour or grain for a week to guarantee no new moths.

  4. Step 4

    Use herbs that repel pantry moths. These include bay leaves, coriander, dill, cinnamon and black pepper. You can place herbs loose on the shelves or tuck them inside of your food packages.

  5. Step 5

    Dried citrus peels will also repel pantry moths, and give your pantry a pleasant scent!
