Our ability to get a good night's sleep can be disrupted for a variety of reasons, but if the problems continue health problems of sleep deprivation will soon follow. We know when we have had enough sleep when we wake up in the morning without difficulties and fell an alert and rested during the day. It is recommended that an adult have seven to eight hours of good sleep every night. When we do not get enough sleep feeling of fatigue sets in. Things like recent family problems and personal issues may cause major anxiety and depression, which can cause major sleep difficulties. Daily stress and medication we take can also keep us from having a good nights rest. With ongoing difficulties with sleep it can become a chronic problem, causing major sleep deprivation. We must get all the sleep our body needs to keep it healthy. Even if we don't suffer from chronic insomnia or sleep deprivation of any kind we still may need to improve our sleep. The following techniques may help you to do just that.
