How to Apply a Fake Bushy Mustache

There are many reasons to apply a fake bushy mustache. Whether you are going undercover as a farmer, appearing on stage as a hairy thug or simply enjoy wearing fake hair around the house, putting on a bushy mustache is simple.

Things You'll Need:

• Fake bushy mustache
• Mirror
• Spirit gum
• Spirit gum remover

1. Clean your upper lip with soap and pat dry.

2. Open you spirit gum and pull out the brush. Wipe the brush off on the inside of the spirit gum container to thin amount that will go on your face.

3. Apply a thin layer of spirit gum in the center of you upper lip about 2 inches wide.

4. Take your bushy mustache and hold in in front of your upper lip, but not touching your skin. In the mirror, eyeball the perfect placement for the mustache, making sure it is even on both sides.

5. When you are satisfied, gently press the bushy mustache into the spirit gum.

6. Spread more spirit gum further along your upper lip and gently press the bushy mustache along your lip.

7. As you apply the fake bushy mustache, smile and frown to make sure you leave the mustache loose enough for all facial movements.

8. Continue on the other side of your lip.

Tips & Warnings

• A bushy mustache covers more of your face then thinner ones, so you don't have to be perfectly symmetrical.
• If you make a mistake, dab a bit of spirit gum remover under the mustache to gently peel it off.
• For a more casual mustache wearing event, you can use this same technique, but with double sided tape.
