When you begin a new project in Adobe Premiere Pro, one of the first things you will need to do is create a new sequence. Similarly, you can add additional sequences to the same project, should you need to. There are several ways to do that in the Premiere Pro workspace.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

When you first open your project and are ready to begin editing your clips together, go to your File menu at the top of your Workspace, and choose, New and the Sequence.

  2. Step 2

Another way to this is from within the Project panel, which is usually the window in the top left hand space of the Workspace. Click the “New Item” button which looks like a square with its bottom left corner folded back. Choose “Sequence.”

  3. Step 3

In the New Sequence dialog box that opens, you can specify different options. Choose a descriptive name for the “Sequence Name” space.

  4. Step 4

You can choose what type of Audio tracks you want, Mono, Stereo and 5.1 Surround. Specify which of these you would like to be the Master audio track.

  5. Step 5

Now select the number of video tracks you want and the corresponding number of Audio tracks. Click OK to create the sequence.
