Everyone notices a person with shining white teeth. Having white teeth will get you noticed and attract other people too you. Meanwhile people with stained and discolored teeth feel bad about their appearance and are shy about smiling. Getting and keeping white teeth however is not an easy thing to do. Still, you can get and keep white teeth without a lot of money. Read on to learn how to whiten your teeth without spending a lot of money.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Practice good daily maintenance. The first step to whitening your teeth is having good oral hygiene. Increase your tooth brushing habits to three times a day, brushing after each meal. Floss your teeth at least once a day. If you currently brush only once a day, you will notice an increased difference in the color of your teeth.

  2. Step 2

Watch what you consume. Coffee, teas, berries, sweets, and cigarettes can stain and discolor your teeth. You will want to eliminate some of these items altogether and lower consumption of others. In addition, eat an apple when you cannot brush as apples serve to clean teeth very well. On occasion, you can lemons and strawberries mashed in a pulp to brighten your teeth, or just eat them in a pinch. Be aware however, that constant use of these acidic remedies will weaken teeth.

  3. Step 3

Brush your teeth with baking soda and peroxide. You do not need whitening toothpaste to make your teeth white. Make a paste of baking soda and peroxide and use this mixture to brush your teeth. If you have stubborn stains, add a little salt. Use this solution daily until your teeth are white. Once your teeth are white as bright as you want them, continue to use the mixture, but only once a week. Be careful not to swallow peroxide.

  4. Step 4

Rinse your teeth with plaque rinse on a regular basis before you brush your teeth. This will loosen any plaque deposits and allow you to brush them away. Be careful not to rinse for too long as it can cause gum soreness and sensitivity.

Tips & Warnings
