If you sport a short haircut, washing your hair is easy. Your choice of shampoo, conditioner and styling products will depend on your hair type and whether it's naturally oily, dry or normal. Find out how to wash your short hair so that every day is a good hair day.

Things You'll Need:

  • Shampoo
  • <br>Conditioner
  1. Step 1

    Wash your hair while taking a shower. This is probably the most convenient place to wash hair.

  2. Step 2

    Wet your hair completely with warm water.

  3. Step 3

    Put a dime size amount of shampoo in your hands and work your hands together for a second or two.

  4. Step 4

    Apply shampoo to your hair and scalp.

  5. Step 5

    Work your fingers all over your scalp, concentrating on cleansing your scalp first before working the lather into your hair.

  6. Step 6

    Rinse the shampoo from your hair until the water runs clear.

  7. Step 7

    Apply conditioner to your hair, working it through to the ends.

  8. Step 8

    Rinse conditioner from your hair until the water runs clear.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use your fingertips, not your fingernails, when cleansing your scalp.
  • <br>Shampoo and condition hair as needed; not everyone needs to shampoo daily.
