1
Have a sharp pair of tweezers and a magnifying mirror. If your tweezers are dull or you cannot see the hair, you will have to pull over and over, causing irritation. Some companies, such as Tweezerman, have services to sharpen your tweezers for a small fee (see Resources below).
-
2
Prep your skin by taking a hot shower or by laying a hot towel across your brows. This will open up your pores and make your hair pliable--the perfect time to pluck!

-
3
Sit down in front of the magnifying mirror, and, if possible, elevate it to forehead-level.
-
4
Pull your skin taut in the direction of the hair growth. For example, if you're doing your right eye brow, pull the skin around the brow right.
-
5
Pluck in the direction of the hair growth. Go at your own speed. If you need to take a minute to step back and relax, go ahead. Just remember to repeat the prep steps again to lessen the pain.
-
6
Apply a bit of astringent to the brows to close the pores again and minimize their appearance after plucking. You may also choose to apply a lotion with aloe to ease the redness and pain.
-
7
Enjoy the new look you've created! Pluck again as needed. The more often you're able to pluck, the more manageable your brows will be and the less pain you'll endure. Major plucking projects hurt but smaller maintenance plucks really don't.

Tips & Warnings
Only pluck if it makes you feel better about your look! You can create manageable brows using an eyebrow brush and a bit of gel if you don't wish to pluck.
Don't pluck too much! Remember, it's easier to take more away later than it is to grow it back now.
