Things You'll Need:
- Mild soap
- Hair tie or towel
- Mud mask
-
Step 1
Prepare your skin for the mud mask by first removing any makeup or beauty products that you may have applied to your skin. Always wash your face with mild soap and lukewarm water, patting dry. To really help the mask sink in to your pores, you can perform a facial mask before application.
-
Step 2
Tie your hair up in a ponytail or wrap your head with a towel to protect your hair from the product. While the mud will not damage your locks, it can be a nuisance to have mud stuck in your hair while applying and drying.
-
Step 3
Squeeze a bit of mud mask onto your fingers and begin by applying the product to your nose, which tends to catch the most oil. Massage the mud into your skin using massaging motions to help it penetrate the pores. Apply a thin layer to your entire face, covering everything but the eyelids and lips. Work the mud up to your hairline, under the lower eyelids, as close to the lips as possible and even the neck.
-
Step 4
Apply a second layer of mud once the first light layer is completely massaged into your skin. Allow the mask to dry completely, and watch as the oil is drawn to the surface through your mask, helping to bring out the natural beauty of your skin.
