Instructions

    • 1

Choose the paper for your labels. Determine what size label you want and buy mid-weight paper stock.

    • 2

Print out your labels using your printer. Most computers have a program that allows you to choose a label layout. Use a font large enough to read easily and add any art or graphics you want on your label.

    • 3

Let the ink dry completely then apply a spray-on polyurethane varnish or clear packing tape over the writing. Read the directions on the can of varnish to apply correctly and let it dry completely before handling. If using tape, cut a piece large enough to cover your entire label.

    • 4

Trim off a piece of double-sided tape to put on the back of your label. Peel the backing off the double-sided tape and press firmly to the back of your label. Leave the backing on the other side of the double-sided tape until you are ready to attach your label to something.

    • 5

Cut your labels using scissors or a paper cutter. Cut evenly so there is a margin around your text and graphics. Your labels will be ready to use once you cut them.
