How to Get One's Little Brother to Stop Bugging One

A little brother can be a pest sometimes. He looks up to you, probably wants to be just like you and wants all your attention. Little brothers go to great lengths to get your attention, and they don't even care if it's negative attention.

Instructions

1. Talk to your little brother and ask him why he bothers you. Once you find out why he likes to bother you, you can figure out how to stop him from bugging you.

2. Play a game or read to your little brother. Showing him one-on-one attention can help him to feel he can have your attention without it being negative. If he learns that there are positive ways to get your attention, he shouldn't bug you as often.

3. Schedule time with your little brother. If he knows he has time with just you, he might stop bugging you for awhile.

4. Explain to him that he needs to stop bugging you while you try to do homework or other important activities. Tell him he needs to wait until you're done before he can have your attention.

5. Let your parents know what he is doing that bugs you. They can help to reduce the problem if they get him interested in something else so you can do your own thing.

6. Give your little brother a special task. Ask him to color you a picture or write you a story. Have him present it to you in front of the rest of your family, which can make him feel special because it's something you asked him to do.
