Flowers not only provide color and scents, they symbolize life, growth and rebirth. They set the mode for any occasion. Whether you are planning for a Valentine's Day party, a dinner party, a wedding, a reception or a bridal shower, you can make a flower arrangement centerpiece that leaves a lasting impression.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A small container
  • A brick of flower foam
  • Water
  • Flower preservatives
  • Greenery
  • A variety of different fresh cut flowers
  • A candle
  1. Step 1

Choose a small container that you would want to use for the centerpiece. The shape and size of the centerpiece will determine what size container you need. Place a brick of flower foam in the center of the container, then add water and the flower preservative.

  2. Step 2

Cut the ends of the greenery to a length that fits your container. Use longer stems of the greenery around the bottom part of the flower arrangement. Layer the rest of the greenery so that the smaller stems are around the top of the flower arrangement. Be careful to not add too much greenery. You don't want the greenery to take away from the flowers.

  3. Step 3

Stick the cut ends of the fresh cut flowers randomly into the flower foam. Use different angles when placing the flowers into the flower foam.

  4. Step 4

Add a tall slender candle to the center of the flower arrangement. Try using a candle of a different color that blends with the colors of the flowers.

  5. Step 5

Enjoy your beautiful arrangement. Place your flower arrangement in an area where everyone can enjoy it.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remove the leaves from the end of the greenery that goes into the flower foam.
  • Change water on a daily basis. This will keep the flowers fresher for a longer period of time.
  • View the flower arrangement from all sides and make any adjustment that is needed.
  • Be sure to remove the thorns from rose stems before using them.
