Pearl earrings are classy and elegant and are the chosen earring for brides. You could go to a store and buy an expensive pair of pearl bridal earrings or you could make your own. You can make bridal earrings using high-quality pearls and settings by following these few steps.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Matched set of pearls
  • Ear studs
  • Jewelry glue for pearls
  • Toothpick or small tipped tool
  • Ear nuts
  1. Step 1

Check both pearls to be sure they are the same size and quality. If you are unsure, you can take them to a local jeweler and he can tell you about the size and quality of the pearls.

  2. Step 2

Place one of the pearls onto the ear stud cup. Check to be sure the pearl is larger than the ear stud cup and fits well in the ear stud cup. Remove the pearl from ear stud cup.

  3. Step 3

Apply a small amount of the jewelry glue to the center of the stud pad cups.

  4. Step 4

Use a toothpick and spread the jewelry glue outward toward the edge of the ear stud cup. The glue should be spread 3/4 of the way up to the edge of the ear stud cup.

  5. Step 5

Set the pearl in the jewelry glue and apply pressure to the pearl to make sure it sets in the ear stud cup. Use a soft cloth or paper towel to remove any excess glue that eases out around the ear stud cup or on the pearl.

  6. Step 6

Repeat Steps 2 through 5 for the other pearl.

  7. Step 7

Allow the jewelry glue to dry completely. Secure the ear nuts to the stems of the ear studs. Enjoy wearing your pearl earrings on your wedding day.

Tips & Warnings
  • Follow instructions on jewelry adhesive for drying time.
  • You can use the same steps for creating other types of earrings. Just make sure you use the correct jewelry glue.
  • Avoid gluing your fingers together.
