How to Configure Web Clips for a Gmail Account

Gmail's Web Clips are a convenient way to keep up-to-date with your favorite RSS and Atom feeds. Use Web Clips to stay on top of the news, interests or hobbies. Web Clips provides daily links to your feeds right in your email so you don't have to go looking for them.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Sign in to your Gmail account. Click on "Settings."

  2. Step 2

    Locate the "Web Clips" tab under "Settings."

  3. Step 3

    Remove any listed Web Clips that you don't want to see in your inbox anymore.

  4. Step 4

    Select one of the "Browse Clips In" categories to preview and add new Web Clips. Find other Web Clips and RSS feeds by searching by topic. Use the field to the left to type in your query, press "Search" and review the results. You may also type in the address of a known RSS feed.

  5. Step 5

    Add your preferred Web Clips to your inbox by pressing "Add."

  6. Step 6

    Make sure the "Show My Web Clips Above the Inbox" option is checked.

  7. Step 7

    Find updates from your chosen RSS feeds at the top of your inbox whenever you log on to your account.

Tips & Warnings
  • Select "Learn More" under the Web Clips tab to find out more about the Web Clips feature on Gmail.
  • To disable all Web Clips, simply uncheck the "Show My Web Clips Above the Inbox" option.
  • Google is not responsible for the content of Web Clips and RSS feeds. Choose your Web Clips carefully if you are concerned about the content.
