Everyone will fall in love one day. Sometimes, the person we fall in love with is not always the ideal person in our parent's eyes. If you are dating a boy or a girl that your parents disapprove of, here are some steps to help you keep a boyfriend or girlfriend a secret from your parents.

1. Tell all of your friends and your boyfriend's or girlfriend's friends about your relationship. Tell them your story and tell them that the relationship must be kept a secret at all time from your parents and family. Most of the time, parents find out about significant others because someone blabs the secret to them.

2. Use a cell phone away from the home to contact your significant other. It's best not to call from the house phone because parents can always have the calls traced. They may even get one of your messages and find out by mistake about your love affair.

3. Delete all emails from your significant other. You can save your emails in a folder, but that does not guarantee that your parents will not find them and read them. Make sure you always log out of your instant messenger program as well as your MySpace and Facebook pages.

4. Scribble out your significant other's name on your notebooks or pieces of paper. If you write his name a lot on your things, mark through it out so that no one can see it.

5. Get a good alibi. It is good to have a close friend cover for you when you want to go out with your significant other. This way, if your parents ask you where you have been, you can always use your reliable alibi.
