In order to copy CDs to your computer, you will need audio ripping software. Windows Media Player is one of the many audio software programs useful for copying CDs to your computer. It comes pre-installed on all Windows computers and is user-friendly. Within a few minutes after inserting a CD into your computer, you should be able to import it into Windows Media Player.

Instructions

      Click the "Start" button in the task bar of your computer.

      Highlight "Programs" and select "Windows Media Player" from the list.

      Insert a CD you want to copy to Windows Media Player into your CD drive.

      Click the "Rip CD" button inside Windows Media Player.

      Eject the CD from your CD drive after it has ripped.

      Repeat this process for each CD you want to copy to Windows Media Player.
