How to Play Accordion Solitaire

Accordion solitaire is simple to play, but extremely difficult to win. This game uses all the cards in the deck. If a card matches the card beside it or three cards away, it's removed. To "match," cards must share either the same suit or the same numerical value.

Instructions

1. Lay out 13 cards face-up, starting at the top left and moving right. Lay down 13 more cards in the row below, moving from right to left. Continue this for 2 more rows, switching from left to right and then right to left again.

2. Begin playing the solitaire game anywhere in the deck. Remove any card that matches the card next to it or matches the card three cards ahead of it.

3. Remove only the card that matches the card next to it or the card 3 places ahead. Leave the matching cards, as well as any cards between matches.

4. Continue play until no more matches can be made. Win your accordion solitaire game by playing until only one card is left on the table.
