How to Knit Friendship Bracelets

Friendship day is generally August 2 in most countries, but the some countries have their own day (usually the first Sunday in August). It is a day where you join up with friends and cherish the time you have been friends. Most people exchange a bracelet to show that joy. Make the standard friendship bracelet.

    How to Knit Friendship Bracelets

  1. Step 1

    They can be made from the French knitter or I-cord or by simple crochet chain stitch to elaborate designs of all patterns. The sizes have even changed. The fiber has changed from plastic to all types of yarns and some embroidery floss.

  2. Step 2

    Here is a simple friendship bracelet formula. Using a 3.75 mm needle and 100% cotton of your choice, cast on 5 sts. Row 1- K1, P1, across the 5 sts. Repeat this row until you have the desire length. Cast off. Now to decorate this bracelet, just simply take an embroidery needle with contrasting floss and add some beads of your choice.

  3. Step 3

    Here is the seed friendship bracelet. Using a 3.75mm needle and 100% cotton of your choice, cast on 6sts. Row 1- *K2,P2 * across to the end. Row 2- *P2, K2 * across to the end. Repeat this row until you have the desire length. Cast off.

  4. Step 4

    Here is a ribbed beaded friendship bracelet. Using a 3.75mm needle and 100% cotton of your choice, cast on 6sts. String 60 small beads of choice onto your string using a beading needle. Row 1- K1, slide bead up and P1, K1, slide bead up and P1, K1, P1. Repeat this row until you have the desire length. Cast off.

  5. Step 5

    To finish, make a tassel of beads on the end of each tail. You can add more strings of beads with a needle and thread. Stitch the tassel to the bracelet.
