Bluetooth technology is designed to enable you to establish a wireless connection between your BlackBerry device and a Bluetooth enabled device, such as a hands-free car kit or wireless stereo headset.

Instructions

      Turn on your BlackBerry Pearl 8130. In the device options, click "Bluetooth." Press the "Menu" key. Click "Enable Bluetooth."

      Put your Bluetooth Motorola H375 in pairing mode. Power on the headset by pressing the "Power" button to initiate easy pairing. After a few moments, the indicator light will be steadily lit in blue to indicate headset is in pairing mode.

      Go back to your Pearl and click "Search for Devices" or "Allow Another Device to Find Me" from the Pearl's Bluetooth setup application. Click "OK." The phone will list the Bluetooth devices it finds.

      Select "Motorola H375." Select "OK" or "Yes" to pair your headset with your phone.

      Enter the passkey: 0000. Select "OK."

      Allow the devices to pair. When your headset successfully pairs with your phone, the indicator light will flash purple and blue.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some Bluetooth devices have a passkey that you must type before you can pair with them.

  • These instructions are written to pair the Motorola H375 to the Blackberry Pearl 8130. See your user's guide for instructions specific to your model.

  • After you pair your BlackBerry device with a Bluetooth enabled device, you can connect to that Bluetooth enabled device when the device is within range of your BlackBerry device (a typical range is approximately 32 feet).
