2. To do a free scan of your registry, there are now many free programs available online, such as pctools (direct link below). You can also do a search on "free windows registry cleaner." Then simply choose the option that is best for you. Most cleaners will do a thorough scan and provide a report of any problems with your registry.

3. With these types of scans, you can do manual and custom scans. You can even fix the problems and schedule routine scans and repairs.
