How to Play and Win at Gunbound

With it's Worms-style game play and rock-paper-scissors strategic balance, online multi-player game Gunbound is very popular. Best of all, it's free and easy to play. Learn how to get good and win at Gunbound by following these steps.

Instructions

    Get Started With Gunbound

  1. Step 1

    Sign-up for a free ijji.com account. You'll need to provide a valid email address.

  2. Step 2

    Go to the Gunbound website for your region and click on the "Play Live" button. This will automatically begin the downloading process. Alternatively, you can click on the Downloads section and find the download link there.

  3. Step 3

    Create a Game ID on the Gunbound website.

  4. Step 4

    Click on the "Play Live" button.

  5. Step 5

    Select a server in your skill zone. If you're just beginning, choose the Rookie Zone or the Open Zone.

  6. Step 6

    Pick a game room. The game room cannot not be in session, or be password protected (unless you know the password).

  7. Step 7

    Choose either the Red or Blue team and then select which Mobile you want to play with. Pick your power-ups in the "Items" tab, and then click the "Ready" button to start.

  9. Step 1

    Control the velocity of your shot by holding down the "Spacebar" key. The longer you hold it down, the farther your shot will go.

  10. Step 2

    Use weather conditions to your advantage. Firing through sunbeams will add 25 percent damage to your shot.

  11. Step 3

    Be aware of your delay. Certain actions create more delay than others, and mean that it will take longer for it to be your turn again.

  12. Step 4

    Choose your mobile and mobile's weapons based on what enemies you will be facing. Electricity attacks are strong against Mechanical mobiles, but weak against Bionic ones. Laser attacks are strong against Bionic mobiles, but weak against Shield ones. Physical attacks are strong against Shield mobiles, but weak against Mechanical ones. Explosion attacks deal equal damage to all types.

  13. Step 5

    Boost your score by going for game play bonuses. By achieving certain things, you'll get both bonus Game Points and Gold at the end of the match. For example, killing 2 people in a single shot will give you 600 Gold and 5 Game Points.

  14. Step 6

    Avoid Game Point and Gold penalties. Killing yourself or a teammate will result in you being penalized.
