Step 1
Wear a proper helmet. It’s always important to wear a helmet when you’re riding a scooter or a motorcycle, but it’s especially important to wear one when you’re attempting to do a trick.
-
Step 2
Ensure that the physical space or area you’re trying to do a wheelie in is clear of pedestrians or vehicles.
-
Step 3
Seat yourself firmly on the scooter and come to a full stop, with the engine running.
-
Step 4
Clamp down hard on the front brake, which will be the left handle brake on a Sfera.
-
Step 5
Lift your weight off the back wheel and rev the scooter until the throttle is wide open.
-
Step 6
Shift your weight down hard onto the back wheel and pop the front brakes.
-
Step 7
Yank up hard on the handlebars and lean your weight backwards behind the back wheel. Be careful not to fall over backwards. The front wheel should come off the ground as the back tire shoots forward.
-
Step 8
Balance carefully as the scooter goes forward. You’re not going to get a particularly long wheelie as the scooter doesn’t have much torque to sustain forward momentum. To prevent yourself from going over backwards, squeeze the back brake lightly, this will bring you forward again.
