The next time you are looking for a great facial scrub, forget about running out to the store and head to your kitchen instead. With common ingredients and a few kitchen tools you can make yourself an avocado and banana exfoliating scrub that will leave your skin glowing. Avocado pits are a wonderful natural exfoliator that will remove your flaky skin and leave soft skin in its place.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Get the plastic bag and place the avocado pit inside. Seal it shut and use the hammer to break the avocado pit into small pieces, approximately the size of a pea.
Step2
Leave these pieces out on the counter for 3 to 5 days or until they are dry. Grind them in a food processor or by using a plastic bag and hammer, until they are the consistency of a fine grain.
Step3
Add ½ of a banana and 1 tbsp of olive oil to the food processor. Blend them together until it creates a thick paste. Add more olive oil if needed.
Step4
Remove the paste from the food processor and massage it gently onto your face. It is not necessary to push the scrub hard on your skin since the avocado pit will exfoliate your skin on its own.
Step5
Use warm water to remove the scrub and then splash your face with cold water to seal your pores closed. Dry your skin by tapping a towel lightly around your face. Enjoy your clean, smooth skin!
