Webkinz is an online virtual world in which your child cares for a virtual version of his stuffed Webkinz animal. To create an account, register the code that comes with every Webkinz animal on the game's website and start playing.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Purchase a stuffed Webkinz animal. The stuffed animals can be found at many greeting card and gift stores.
Step2
Locate the registration information. It's attached to the collar of your stuffed Webkinz and is inside a heavy plastic envelope. Go online to the Webkinz's website and click on the button labeled "New Member."
Step3
Review the adoption page and then click "Make a New Account."
Step4
Choose the country you live in from the drop down box. This sets the time zone where your Webkinz will live. You'll be asked to confirm your choice, since it is permanent.
Step5
Read the policies and procedures for the Webkinz online game and select "Ok" if you agree to accept and abide by them.
Step6
Fill in the adoption form using your child's information. If you're hesitant to give out that information, use yours. Once this is complete, you'll be asked to choose a username and a password.
Step7
Enter the secret code from your pet. This tells Webkinz what type of animal you have and confirm that you're the owner of the pet. Once this is complete, you'll be asked to name your pet and then you can begin play. Each new Webkinz account comes with a room and $2000 in Kinzcash that can be used to furnish it.

Tips & Warnings

  • For safety and security reasons, don't use your child's actual name as her username when registering her Webkinz account.
