You are lucky if you have a sister. In one person, you have a friend and a close relative. As the years go by, the relationship only gets better, and you will both cherish the wonderful memories you have shared together. For right now, though, you must learn to get along through thick and thin.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Be the bigger person when you feel your sister is acting badly. Politely ignore her, walk out of the room or even just laugh it off. Make every effort to create an enjoyable home life for both of you.
Step2
Realize that angry words can hurt your sister, and harsh words continue to inflict pain, even as time goes on. For this reason, it is best not to get into hurtful, argumentative situations.
Step3
Maintain a good self-image and forget what others say about each of you. Your relationship with your sister isn't a competition. The happiest people in this world are comfortable with themselves regardless of other people's opinions.
Step4
Keep in mind that your sister has good qualities that you can admire. You may be very different from each other, but those differences are not all bad.
Step5
Congratulate your sister when good things come her way. Listen to her ideas about things, and take her advice when you find yourself in similar situations.

Tips & Warnings

  • Remember that childish acts, such as not looking at each other or moving away from one another when sitting in the same area, only make you look bad to everyone else.
