When you can juggle a cascade with clubs and you've learned many solo tricks, you're ready to learn to pass clubs. After you learn club-passing basics, you can expand your juggling repertoire to include many new patterns and delight your audience in new ways.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Stand 6 to 8 feet from your partner. Hold 2 clubs in your right hand and one in your left hand. Beginning club passers sometimes find learning to pass easier if the club in the left hand is easily distinguishable from the other 2 clubs.

  2. Step 2

Look your partner in the eye. Raise your clubs up near your head to indicate that you are ready to begin juggling. When your partner does the same, drop your clubs and begin juggling. If you self-pass first, you are doing a slow start or every other pattern.

  3. Step 3

Juggle the clubs in a cascade pattern. Begin by tossing one of the clubs in your right hand across to your left hand. Toss the club in your left hand across to your right hand so that you can catch the first club you tossed. Toss the remaining club in your right hand across to the left and catch the club that began in your left hand in your right hand.

  4. Step 4

Drop your right arm down so the club in it points toward the ground. Try to hold the club in the middle of the handle. Keep your wrist fairly straight and pass the club from your right hand to your partner's left hand. Your partner should pass a club to your left hand at the same time.

  5. Step 5

Make room in your left hand by tossing the club in your left hand to your right hand. Catch the club your partner passed to you in your left hand. Juggle another series of self-passes, tossing one club from right-to-left and then one from right-to-left.

  6. Step 6

Pass the club in your right hand to your partner and catch the club your partner passes you in your left hand. You can continue to juggle this pattern as long as you would like. When you are both ready to stop, double-out by tossing a club high in the air, gathering the other 2 clubs in one hand and catching the tossed club in the other hand.
