    Instructions

    Things You'll Need

    • Moisturizer
    • Concealer
    • Makeup sponges
    • Foundation
    • Powder brushes
    • Translucent powders
    • Blush
    • Eye shadow
    • Eye shadow brush
    • White eyeliner pencil
    • Black lengthening mascara
    • Eyelash curler
    • Eyebrow pencil
    • Lipstick or gloss
    1. Preparing

      • 1

Wash your face well and apply moisturizer if you normally use it.

      • 2

Use a concealer for problem areas. Tyra has dark circles under her eyes and advises that you apply concealer here, as well as on blemishes and around the mouth.

      • 3

Warm the concealer on the back of your hand to make it creamy and easier to apply. Gently dab it on the skin.

      Applying Foundation

      • 1

Use a makeup sponge to apply foundation. Tyra recommends soaking the sponge in water. Squeeze the excess water out and dab onto foundation.

      • 2

Apply makeup with a foundation stick instead of using cake or liquid. Smooth in with the sponge. Cover your forehead, nose and chin.

      • 3

Pat your entire face gently, including where you applied the concealer. Blend in well, making sure to blend downward and underneath your chin.

      Setting Makeup

      • 1

Apply two shades of translucent powder like Tyra does. Use a large, soft powder brush to apply the lighter powder under your eyes and brush away any excess powder.

      • 2

Set your foundation with the darker powder applied lightly over your entire face using a second brush and, again, brush away any extra powder.

      • 3

Grab a third powder brush. To apply your blush like Tyra, dab your powder brush into the blush. Pat the brush on the back of your hand to remove the excess blush.

      • 4

Find the best area to apply the blush by smiling to reveal the apples of your cheeks. Blend the blush in carefully.

      Applying Eye Shadow

      • 1

Brush a thin layer of lighter translucent powder under your eyes, as Tyra recommends, to protect the area from your eye shadow, which can fall onto that area as you apply it and create dark under eye circles.

      • 2

Choose a shade of smoky brown eye shadow that is slightly darker than your natural skin tone. Dab a small brush on the eye shadow and rub the brush on the back of your hand to remove any excess just like you did with your blush.

      • 3

Create a dramatic, cat-like effect by first tilting your head back. Look down to see the crease of your eye. Brush the shadow back and forth onto the crease. Continue towards the outer corners and slightly beyond the eyes.

      • 4

Deepen the eyes and add a polished look by dabbing the shadow at the inner corners of the eyes. Sweep it upward to the brows.

      • 5

Brush off excess under eye powder.

      Defining Eyes

      • 1

Make your eyes look bright and big like Tyra's by applying white eyeliner on the inside of your lower lid. Tyra says white eyeliner is the best investment a woman can make because it makes you look vibrant even when you're tired.

      • 2

Apply one coat of mascara to your top and bottom lashes, which keeps the lashes from getting clumpy. To emphasize your bottom lashes, touch the mascara brush to your lower lids as you apply it.

      • 3

Use an eyelash curler after you apply mascara to make your upper lashes look longer. Squeeze the curler two or three times to curl the upper lashes. Wipe excess mascara off the curler after each use.

      Finishing Touches

      • 1

Create a polished look for your eyebrows. Tyra uses an eyebrow pencil to draw hair stroke lines in sparse areas of the eyebrow, and pays special attention to the arch. Follow the natural curve of your brows and use a color that closely matches your own.

      • 2

Add a finishing touch of lipstick or lip gloss. Tyra advises that you apply it sparingly to get a stained effect. Rub your lips together and smudge the lipstick or gloss with your fingertip for a more natural look.

      • 3

Wash off the excess blush and shadow you tapped off your brushes onto the back of your hand and the lip stick or gloss from your fingertips. You're ready to show off your fresh and fierce Tyra Banks makeup look.

Tyra admitted on her show to Christi Harris that she has no brows! She did all her damage back in her supermodel days by over tweezing. Now she has to pencil them in. She hoped people don't make the same mistake as now there are better alternatives out there like Christi's brow planer.
