How to Find Someone's Current Address
You're trying to make contact with someone from your past, but you've hit a snag in the road: You cannot locate him. Finding someone's current address can be a tedious task, especially if you've lost contact for a period of time, but with some effort and perseverance, you'll find just what-and who-you're looking for.

1
Look in the phone book. If the person you're looking for is in your local area, the phone book may contain their address.
-
2
Use online "people" search engines. Websites such as WhitePages and Switchboard offer the ability to search by name, city and state, and can even do a reverse search on a phone number to find someone's current address. If you know what high school or college the person you're looking for attended, you can post on a school's bulletin at a site like Classmates (see Resources below).

3
Ask close friends or family members. While you may have lost contact with someone, others may have remained close. Use all available avenues to locate the address you're looking for.
-
4
Visit your local courthouse. You can search property tax records and even civil or criminal dockets for new case filings that contain current address information. Some counties publish their records online, so you can view this information without going in person.
-
5
Place an ad in the newspaper. A "seeking" ad in the newspaper of the last-known town the person resided in may yield results from new friends or co-workers.
